About Fridays For Future

Protesting at Parliament Lawn  every Tuesday between 12:30 and 1:30.

Check out all the environment and climate related events in Wellington, on EcoKiwi (Google doc).

Find other Fridays for Future groups (and other climate activist groups) around NZ.

We are in the middle of a very fast moving revolution. The lives of our youngest are at stake.

The government has made steps in the right direction, but it still allows fossil fuel exploration to continue.

Through ACC and KiwiSaver investments it pumps 1.5 billion dollars into fossil fuels.

It has also refused to recognise the real cost of our highest emitters.

The move to renewable energy is happening too slowly and our dependence on gas is not being addressed.

These things prevent us from getting to safety.

A responsible government could address these things. It needs to be told.
